Ten coins and 45 XP are not 55 coins: read Adventure Blocks loot

When planning your next campaign expense, read the label beside each reward. Ten coins, 45 XP and one relic are three different amounts. Adding their numbers and calling the result coins changes what the screen offers.

An official Adventure Blocks promotional image on Google Play gives us a concrete encounter to read. It presents a mission; this guide does not claim to have completed it.

What this encounter shows

The “Path mission” panel sets “Reach 260 points” as the objective. Three boxes below it show “+10 COINS”, “+45 XP” and “1 RELIC”. The panel also says to complete the objective to claim the loot. Those values belong to this particular image, not a reward table for every node.

Read it in this order:

  1. What you must achieve: reach the displayed encounter’s 260 points.
  2. The monetary reward offered: ten coins.
  3. What else appears: 45 XP and one relic, keeping their own labels.
  4. What still has to happen: complete the objective and then check what you received.

Do not count the 260 points as another 260 coins. They are the mission condition in this panel, not another loot column.

Before planning your next expense

Suppose you are considering an option that asks for coins. The useful question is how much balance is available when you make that decision. An unfinished encounter’s advertised loot is not an already collected balance. Adding XP to a number in your head does not turn it into coins either.

After the encounter, inspect the result and the balance the game shows. To evaluate a relic, read its description and check your equipment separately. This image does not identify which relic you will receive or establish an exchange rate between resources.

The decision this reading supports

You can decide whether the advertised rewards make that objective interesting without treating everything as one large total. You do not need a supposedly optimal route: first separate objective, offer and resources actually available. If another node shows different amounts, read its own labels again.
